ART INSPIRED COLOR PALETTE
Our studio used careful furniture selection and placement to define the living and dining areas without creating visual and architectural barriers. This allowed our clients to continue enjoying the view of their front yard and daylight coming through the. The vibrant colors, patterns and textures of their Asian, African and Middle Eastern art collection provided inspirations for the materials, colors and fabric selections.
The living area is defined by a set of ample scaled sofas. The curved back profile of the sofas creates an illusion of spaciousness. A set of leather benches tucked under an iron console provides additional seating when needed. A red wool rug with a geometric trellis pattern provides softness and a contemporary feel while respecting the overall taste and aesthetic of our clients.
The dining area adjacent to the living area is identified by a vintage mid-century modern teak dining table. The teak dining chairs are also vintage and reupholstered in a rich teal colored fabric. A hand made iron-chandelier provides illumination and highlights the dining area.
